Salome Study Manager (SIMAN) is a client – server application for managing
simulation studies created in various Salome modules or other applications.
Namely, SIMAN provides users with the possibility to:
Collect all simulation data (specifications, geometries, meshes, boundary conditions, calculation results, reports, etc.) produced according to the CEA study workflow.
Track the evolution of on-going studies (progress of studies, state of documents, design choices, history of modifications, etc.)
Capitalize the problem solutions and store such knowledge as best practices, limitations and metrics.
Archive and share these studies and knowledge into a centralized repository providing advanced search.
The usual user interaction with SIMAN and Salome goes as follows:
Start a SIMAN session;
Create a study;
Initialize the activities, for example, import the requirements, write the specifications and create the geometry;
Check out the study scenario to launch SALOME opening the corresponding SALOME Study and the geometry previously imported into it;
Continue working with SALOME, for example, mesh the geometry, set the boundary conditions, create a YACS calculation scheme;
Check-in the scenario study to save the result back to SIMAN and close SALOME;
Complete the metadata study information by adding simulation contexts and various comments such as design choices, issues, etc.
